🗓️ Detailed Itinerary – Mount Bromo & Ijen Tour from Bali

Day 1: Bali to Bromo – Travel Across Islands

Our driver will pick you up from your hotel in Bali (Ubud, Canggu, Seminyak, Denpasar, or surrounding areas). You’ll travel by private car to Gilimanuk Harbor and take a short ferry ride across the Bali Strait to Java.

Upon arrival in East Java, you’ll continue by car to Cemoro Lawang Village, a charming village at the edge of Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. Here, you’ll check in to your hotel with views overlooking the dramatic Bromo caldera.

Day 2: Mount Bromo Sunrise Tour – Transfer to Banyuwangi

At 3:00 AM, your Bromo adventure begins. A 4WD Jeep will take you to Mount Penanjakan, one of the best sunrise viewpoints in Indonesia. As the sun rises behind Mount Semeru, you’ll see the misty sea of sand and the smoking cone of Mount Bromo – an absolutely breathtaking sight.

After sunrise, descend to the caldera and walk or ride a horse to the Bromo crater rim. Explore the active volcano, then return to the hotel for breakfast, shower, and packing.

After check-out, you’ll be driven to Banyuwangi, the gateway to Ijen Crater, with scenic stops for lunch at a local restaurant.

Day 3: Ijen Crater & Blue Fire – Return to Bali or Surabaya

At 1:00 AM, depart your hotel and drive to Paltuding Base Camp, the starting point of the Ijen hike. Begin the 90-minute trek to the crater under the stars, led by an experienced guide.

At the summit (2,383 meters), witness the rare and magical blue fire phenomenon, caused by ignited sulfuric gases. As daylight breaks, admire the turquoise acidic crater lake and observe sulfur miners carrying heavy loads up and down the mountain – a truly humbling experience.

After the trek, return to your hotel for breakfast and checkout. You will then be transferred back to Bali or Surabaya, depending on your preference.
