Our Itinerary

Day 1 – Transfer to Java

Start from your hotel in Bali (Denpasar, Sanur, Kuta or Ubud area), Our staff will take you to the western tip of Bali to reach Gilimanuk ferry port for about 3 hours by a private car with AC then from Gilimanuk Harbor, We will take a ferry to cross Bali strait for about 1 hour to reach Ketapang ferry port of Banyuwangi in the most eastern tip of Java Island. On this trip, We will pass through the rural landscapes of West Bali.

Lunch will be served at a local restaurant on the way. Upon arrival at Ketapang ferry port then proceed for a short city tour in Banyuwangi. End of the afternoon drives up to Hotel to stay overnight and have dinner before we can enjoy Ijen Crater Tours on next morning.

Day 02 : Mount Bromo Penanjakan sunrise – Banyuwangi

At 3:00 AM the 4WD (JEEP) will bring you to the world’s most famous viewpoint at Mount Pananjakan on the rim of the Tengger caldera to see sunrise with its young volcanic including Mount Bromo and an active Mount Semeru in the background is breathtaking the play light shadow with sunrise reach Mountain succession from the top to the bottom and the usual fog of the caldera.

After enjoying the beautiful view (and depending on the weather conditions), we will cross the “sea of sand” (mostly made up of the volcanic ashes and debris of prior eruptions) and head to the sacred Hindu temples at the foot of the spectacular Bromo and Batok volcanoes.

Making our way around the temples dedicated to the gods living inside the crater, we will go up a steep and narrow path and climb 250 steps to reach the top of the Bromo. Only then, stunned by the sounds coming from the entrails of the Earth, and in the cold of the night,

Will we be able to experience the beauty of the smoking crater, its sulfur vapors emanating from the depths of the volcano? A truly unforgettable moment!

Then will take you back to the hotel for breakfast, take shower, pack, and loading bags, into the vehicle then we will drive you to the Banyuwangi regency which takes around 6 hours drive including stops on the way to have lunch at the Local Restaurant. You’re your arrival in Banyuwang Regency, you will stay at the hotel.

Day 3: Ijen Crater – Bali

at 12.30 (depending on how far your hotel is) the Ijen Expedition team will pick you up at a hotel. So before that time, you should prepare everything, warm clothing, and personal supplies. We will arrive at Ijen Parking Area at 00.30 am while waiting for the lockets to be opened you can enjoy the coldness of the Ijen Area. Well, finally you’ll go for a walk as far as 3 kilometers with the kind of tracks that are uphill and flat.

In kilometre 2 you can take a rest for a while in the last post namedÍ circle pos. And then we’ll start climbing again goes to the top of Ijen Mountain, which has a peak of 2.799 meters above sea level. Once at the top of the crater, the most exciting part begins: we Íwill descend, in complete darkness, into the crater of the active volcano to witness the unique phenomenon of the “blue flames”.

Our guides principally made up of former sulfur miners and porters and therefore very knowledgeable about the crater, will help you descend safely. They will exercise constant vigilance and make sure you are using the protective masks appropriately, providing you with constant help and guidance within this extremely spectacular environment.

At around 5 a.m., watching the sunrise above the largest acid lake in the world will complete this extraordinary adventure. We will take the time to appreciate the surreal scene surrounding us, enjoying the sunrise above the stunning turquoise lake while watching the brave workers carry huge sulfur blocks on their shoulders up to the crater rim!

Around 6-7 a.m., we will descend from this incredible location and head back to the base camp (altitude of 1,900 m). In the light of the day, you will be able to appreciate the beautiful trail that led to the caldera of the stratovolcano. Filled with its energy and the morning’s unique impressions.

After arriving in Paltuding ( basecamp ) we’ll take you back to the hotel for breakfast, and packing After breakfast, we continue our journey to the Ketapang ferry terminal to cross to Bali (ferry +-1h). Once in Bali, it takes about 4-5 hours to reach Denpasar, Ubud, Kuta, or Sanur. (Keep in mind that Bali is H+1 compared to java time). ARRIVAL at your final destination at 3-4 pm. and the program finish.
