🗓️ Itinerary Details

📍 Day 1 – Transfer to Bromo Area

Your trip begins with a pick-up from your location in Surabaya or the surrounding areas. From here, you’ll travel to the Bromo region, which takes approximately 3 to 4 hours.

Once you arrive in Cemara Lawang, the closest village to Mount Bromo, you’ll check in to your accommodation. The rest of the day is free for you to relax and adjust to the cooler mountain air.

It’s recommended to get enough rest, as the next day starts very early.

🌄 Day 2 – Bromo Sunrise Experience & Transfer to Banyuwangi

The day begins at around 2:30 AM.

You’ll travel by 4WD jeep to one of the best viewpoints to witness the sunrise over Mount Bromo. As the sun rises, the entire volcanic landscape slowly reveals itself — a view that has become one of Indonesia’s most iconic scenes.

After sunrise, the journey continues to the Bromo crater. From the parking area, you can either walk across the sea of sand or take a horse ride to reach the stairs leading up to the crater.

Once at the top, you’ll be able to see the active crater up close and observe the surrounding landscape, including the sacred Poten Temple used by the Tenggerese community.

After returning to your hotel and having breakfast, the trip continues toward Banyuwangi, the gateway to Ijen Crater.

🔥 Day 3 – Ijen Crater Trek & Sukamade Journey

The day starts just after midnight.

You’ll head to Ijen Crater and begin a trek of approximately 3 kilometers. The path is relatively steady, though it requires a moderate level of fitness.

One of the highlights here is the Blue Fire phenomenon — a rare natural event caused by ignited sulfuric gases, visible only before sunrise.

After reaching the crater rim, you’ll also witness a stunning turquoise lake, known as one of the largest acidic lakes in the world. The sunrise from this point adds another layer of beauty to the experience.

After completing the Ijen trek, the journey continues to Sukamade Beach, located within Meru Betiri National Park. The route involves off-road travel through forest and rural landscapes, giving you a glimpse of untouched nature.

In the evening, you’ll join a guided patrol to observe sea turtles coming ashore to lay their eggs — a rare and memorable experience that few places in the world still offer.

You’ll spend the night in a simple guesthouse inside the conservation area.

🌿 Day 4 – Sukamade Exploration & Return

After breakfast, you’ll have time to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Sukamade Beach before preparing for the return journey.

The trip then continues back to Surabaya or Ketapang Harbor, depending on your travel plan.

Sukamade is not a typical tourist destination. It is a protected conservation site where several species of sea turtles come to nest.
