Bromo Ijen Sukamade tour is one of the tour packages that we offer for tourists outside there. For approximately 4 Days and 3 Nights, our team will invite you to enjoy the charm of the city of Banyuwangi.

Enjoying the beautiful sunrise panorama on Mount Bromo on the first day, and then next on the second day, our team will lead you to Mount Ijen for enjoying wonderful of the turquoise of the Ijen Crater Lake, and on the last day, we will go to Sukamade beach to enjoying the atmosphere of that beach.

 

As you know, Sukamade Beach is one of the turtle conservation in Banyuwangi. On this beach, the tourists can witness firsthand the process of cute turtles laying eggs.in addition to seeing the turtle’s laying process, tourists also have the opportunity to see the process of releasing Tukik into the sea (Tukik: turtle child).

This beach was founded by Dutch Nationality, around 1927. Sukamade Beach is located in Rajegwesi village, Pesanggaran Sub-district, Banyuwangi district, East Java. There are approximately 4 species of turtles are founded here, including The Green Turtle (Chelonia Mydas), Slengkrah Turtle (Lepidochelys Olivacea), Hawksbill turtle (Eretmochelys Imbricata), and Blimbing Turtle (Dermochelys Coriaceae). And yet, the type that is mostly found on Sukamade Beach is The Green Turtle.

Bromo Ijen Sukamade 4 Days 3 Night tour!!!

Day 1: Pick up Service – Cemara Lawang (Free Program)

            We will pick up you at Juanda International Airport/hotel/your pick-up address in Surabaya and drive in approximately 3 or 4 hours to the Bromo area. Arriving in the Bromo area you will see the row of houses the slope reaches 70 degrees, cause as we know that Bromo Tengger Semeru Village is located on a plateau.

The Ijen Expedition Team will lead you to your hotel/homestay there. We choose the inn that is close to the view of Mount Bromo, in Cemara Lawang.

Day 2: Bromo Sunrise | Bromo Ijen Sukamade

Wake up at 02.30 in the early morning to make preparations for Mount Penanjakan to enjoy the sunrise. At 03.00 4×4 Jeep will bring you to the location of the sunrise point view (it will take around 1 hour). After enjoying the sunrise view, the tour guide will bring you back go to the jeep, then next go to the Bromo parking area for enjoying the panorama of Bromo Crater.

Arriving at the parking area the tour guide will lead you on a climb to Mount Bromo. From the parking area to the starting point of the climb is about 500 meters, you can take it on foot or by renting horses from local residents.

The price for renting horses is 150.000 rupiah in two ways. Arriving at the starting point, you will start the climb. The terrain from the starting point to the top of Bromo Mountain goes up the stairs with 225 stairs that you will go through.

For approximately around 1 hour you will enjoy the wonderful views of Mount Bromo. If we look at it from above it will appear that Poten Bromo Temple, is a potential place of worship for Hindus in the Tengger Tribe.

On the right and the left side, you will see a beautiful cluster of hills. After that, you will be escorted back by our team to the jeep, back to the homestay, and get prepared to go to Banyuwangi city for enjoying the next destination, Ijen Crater. One of the mandatory destinations worth visiting when you come to East Java Province.

• Don’t forget to bring a scarf or mask and sunglasses, because the terrain of Bromo Mountain is more sandy and dusty.
• Breakfast will be provided at your hotel.

 

Day 3: Explore Ijen Crater – Sukamade Beach

Around midnight, typically at 12:30 AM (depending on the location of your hotel), the Ijen Expedition team will pick you up. Please ensure you are well-prepared before departure — wear warm clothing, bring your personal essentials, and make sure your flashlight and gas mask are ready.

We will arrive at the Ijen Crater parking area around 1:00 AM. While waiting for the entrance gate to open, take a moment to acclimate and enjoy the crisp, cool air of the Ijen highlands. Once everything is ready, we’ll begin our trek toward the crater — a journey of approximately 3 kilometers along a combination of uphill and flat terrain.

At around the 2-kilometer point, there is a resting area known as Pos Bunder or Circle Post. This is a good spot to take a short break, hydrate, and prepare yourself for the next part of the climb.

From there, we’ll continue our ascent to the crater rim, which stands at 2,799 meters above sea level. To witness the mesmerising Blue Fire phenomenon, we’ll descend into the crater on a steep and rocky trail — a journey that takes around 30 minutes. Extreme caution is advised here, and gas masks are mandatory due to the sulfur fumes.

Once we’re back at the rim, you’ll have the chance to witness the stunning sunrise over Ijen and marvel at the turquoise-colored acidic crater lake — one of the largest in the world. At around 6:00 AM, we’ll begin our descent back to the parking area, where hot tea or coffee awaits, giving you a moment to relax and recharge.

Sukamade Trip

After a short rest, we’ll continue our journey to Sukamade Beach. The trip takes approximately 3 hours, covering a distance of about 90 kilometers through scenic villages and jungle roads leading into the heart of Meru Betiri National Park.

Upon arrival at Sukamade, you’ll still have time to enjoy the peaceful sunset along the remote beach. In the evening, local rangers will guide you on a night patrol to witness female sea turtles coming ashore to lay their eggs — a rare and magical experience. These majestic creatures usually emerge from the sea around 7:30 PM and may take several hours before returning to the ocean.

For the night, you’ll stay at a simple yet cozy guesthouse managed by the park, offering a tranquil retreat in the middle of nature.

Day 4: Sukamade – Ketapang Harbor

            After breakfast, you can further explore the surroundings of Sukamade beach and get prepared to do the next trip. Hereafter we are heading to Surabaya. On our way, we will stop at a local restaurant for lunch (not included). And the program has finished.
