Mount Bromo Midnight Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Hotel in Bali – Hotel in Mount Bromo area

Mount Bromo tour will start at about 7:00 AM (Balinese time zone) and it will be your long drive from Bali to Bromo. Our driver will pick you up from your hotel in the Bali area (Ubud, Lovina, Canggu, Kuta, Denpasar, or Jimbaran) then we will escort you to Gilimanuk Ferry Port, Afterward, we will take the ferry for about an hour reach Ketapang Ferry Port (Java side).

Upon your arrival in Ketapang Ferry Port, we will escort you to a local restaurant for lunch then continue our trip to Mount Bromo about a 5-6 hours drive. Arriving in the Mount Bromo area, we will escort you to the Lava view hotel or a similar hotel there for an enjoyable stay before you do the Mount Bromo tour

Day 2: Mount Bromo Tour – Hotel in the Bali area

The Mount Bromo tour will be started around 3:30 AM (when you come to Mount Bromo on the weekend, we have to start the tour earlier), the jeep will bring you to the most famous viewpoint in the Mount Bromo area. That is Penanjakan hill, from the hill we can see the best sunrise in East Java with mountains and volcanoes as a background. Afterward, the jeep will continue your adventure holiday to reach the sea of sands in the Mount Bromo area.

We will stop at the parking area then you will cross the sea of sands by riding a horse or on foot (it is optional) till reaching the stairs at the slope of Mount Bromo which it will lead you to reach the peak of Mount Bromo. After enjoying the volcanic activity on the top of Mount Bromo, you have to go back to your jeep then the jeep will bring you back to the hotel for breakfast, take shower, pack, loading bags into our car afterward we will continue our trip to Ketapang Ferry Port, it will take ±5 hours.

Then, we need to take a ferry to reach Gilimanuk Ferry Port at the western tip of Bali Island. Upon arrival at Gilmanuk Ferry port, we will escort you to your hotel in the Bali area (Lovina, Ubud, Pemuteran, Sanur, Kuta).

The best time to visit Mount Bromo is during the dry season from April to October. The incidence of rain is higher during the wet season from November to March, but the national park is still open to visitors during this period.

How difficult is the trek? | Mount Bromo Tour Package

Most of the trek is on relatively flat and sandy ground except for the flight of stairs from Mt Bromo base to its top. It is a relatively easy trek more akin to Mac Ritchie trail walking than to Mount Ophir (Steep-slope) trekking. However, this trek cannot be underestimated as well, as it is definitely more strenuous than a walk in the park.

The terrain is very sandy and is exposed to the elements; the trek itself is on open space with no shelter or canopy cover to shield off the strong sun – (where the sun may be especially strong at such altitudes). The return trek between the car park and Mount Bromo summit takes about 2-3 hours; the trek may be too strenuous for the elderly. However, it is definitely suitable for beginners who exercise regularly.
