Apa itu Geopark?

Pengertian Geopark adalah sebuah kawasan yang memiliki unsur-unsur geologi di mana masyarakat setempat diajak berperan serta untuk melindungi dan meningkatkan fungsi warisan alam, termasuk nilai arkeologi, ekologi dan budaya yang ada di dalamnya. Istilah Geopark merupakan singkatan dari “Geological Park” yang diterjemahkan ke dalam bahasa Indonesia sebagai Taman Geologi atau taman bumi.
