Before you decide to choose the airline, we would like to recommend you choose a morning flight. Because if you arrive in Surabaya in the morning, you will have time to explore Madakaripura waterfall before you check in to your hotel in the Bromo area.

Well, upon your arrival at Surabaya Airport you can take Damri or a taxi to Bungurasih bus station. Then from Bungurasih you can take a bus to Jember or Banyuwangi and ask the driver to stop at Probolinggo bus station. From Probolinggo bus station you can continue to Cemara Lawang village by minibus. Cemara Lawang is the closest village to Mt. Bromo. Mostly the tourists will stay in hotels or homestays around this village.

From Cemara lawing village if you want to take the Mt. Bromo tour you can use a 4WD Jeep or Motorbike taxi. We really recommend taking a 4WD Jeep for the tour, it will be safer for you. If you single traveler you can ask people around your hotel/homestay to share the jeep cost with you. Normally the price for a 4WD Jeep is IDR. 600.000/ Jeep, 1 jeep can use for 4/5 tourists.
