If you’re up for the adventure, trek down a steep path (30 mins) to the base of the waterfall and walk through rivers and lush jungle to reach the bottom viewpoint and nearby Goa Tetes Cave.

Depart around 12:00 AM (midnight) to begin your journey to Ijen Crater via Paltuding basecamp. After a short rest, start a 1.5-hour hike under the stars to the crater rim.

With your guide and gas mask provided, descend into the crater to witness the world-famous Blue Flames, a natural phenomenon caused by ignited sulfuric gas. Watch miners extract bright yellow sulfur by hand in one of the purest and harshest sulfur mines on Earth.
