Like any natural phenomenon, the height and intensity of the blue flames depend on several factors such as gas pressure, volcanic activity, and wind conditions. In some cases, the flames have been observed reaching more than 5 meters (16 feet) in height, although this does not occur every night. Regardless of the intensity, witnessing the blue fire is always a remarkable experience and offers incredible opportunities for photography.

It is important to understand that the lava itself is not blue. The molten rock emerging from the volcano looks similar to lava found at other volcanoes around the world, typically glowing red or orange due to its extremely high temperature.
