Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Bali to Mount Bromo

Your adventure begins at 8:00 AM with a hotel pickup in Bali. From there, you will embark on a scenic drive to Gilimanuk Ferry Port (4-5 hours, depending on your location). You can enjoy picturesque views of Bali’s lush landscapes and traditional villages along the way.

Once you arrive at Gilimanuk, you will board a one-hour ferry to Java’s Ketapang Ferry Port. After crossing, you will take a short break to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before continuing the journey towards Mount Bromo.

The drive to Mount Bromo takes about 5 to 6 hours. Upon arrival, you will check into a hotel near the volcano to rest and prepare for the sunrise excursion. Since the next day starts early, it is important to get a good night’s sleep.

Day 2: Mount Bromo Sunrise Tour – Ijen Crater

Wake up before dawn, as your journey to witness one of Indonesia’s most famous sunrises begins at 3:30 AM. First, hop on a 4WD Jeep to reach the famous viewpoints of Penanjakan Hill and Kingkong Hill (2,700m). As the sun rises, you will be mesmerized by the breathtaking views of Mount Bromo, Mount Batok, and Mount Semeru. Be sure to capture the moment with your camera!

After sunrise, you will descend into the Sea of Sands, where you can either walk or ride a horse (optional) to reach the stairs leading to Mount Bromo’s crater rim. The short hike up rewards you with a stunning view of the active crater, offering an up-close volcanic experience.

By 8:30 AM, you will return to the hotel for breakfast, freshen up, and prepare for the journey to Banyuwangi, the gateway to Ijen Crater. This scenic 5-6 hour drive passes through lush rice fields, plantations, and coastal areas, making for an enjoyable road trip. Along the way, you will stop for lunch at a local restaurant before continuing towards your accommodation near Ijen. Upon arrival, check in and rest for the night, recharging for the early morning trek to Ijen Crater.

Day 3: Ijen Crater Tour – Return to Bali

Rise early at 4:00 AM and set off towards Licin Village. From there, you will drive through dense rainforests until you reach the Ijen Crater parking area (1,850m). After that, a 1.5-hour trek through a well-marked trail brings you to the crater rim (2,386m), where you will witness the surreal turquoise acidic lake—one of the most unique sights in the world.

Optional: Ijen Blue Fire Tour (No Extra Cost)

If you are looking for an even more unique experience, opt for the Blue Fire Tour, departing at 12:30 AM. Here, you can marvel at the rare blue flames caused by ignited sulfuric gas, visible only in the darkness. Since this natural phenomenon is found in just a few places on Earth, it is a must-see highlight of the trip.

During the trek, you will also observe sulfur miners carrying loads up to 80kg along the steep paths—a humbling sight that showcases the hard work and dedication of these local workers.

After exploring Ijen, you will descend to the parking area and return to Banyuwangi. From there, take the ferry back to Bali, where our driver will drop you off at your designated hotel in Ubud, Canggu, Seminyak, or another location. This marks the end of your unforgettable Bromo Ijen adventure.
