Your adventure begins in Surabaya, the capital city of East Java. Whether you’re arriving at the airport, train station, or staying in a hotel, our friendly English-speaking driver and guide will pick you up and begin the 3–4 hour scenic drive to the Mount Bromo area.

Upon arrival in the Bromo area, you’ll check into your hotel and relax. Get a good night’s rest—tomorrow’s sunrise experience at Bromo is the highlight of the day!

🌿 Optional Stop: Madakaripura Waterfall

If you arrive in the morning and the weather is clear, you can visit Madakaripura Waterfall, one of the most beautiful and hidden waterfalls in East Java. Surrounded by towering green cliffs, it offers a refreshing and photogenic stop before reaching Bromo. This stop is optional and not included in the tour price, so let us know if you’d like to add it.

🌄 Day 2: Mount Bromo Sunrise Tour – Transfer to Ijen Area

Wake up early around 3:30 AM (or earlier on weekends) and hop into a 4WD Jeep that will take you to Penanjakan Viewpoint, one of the best sunrise spots in Indonesia.

As the sun rises, you’ll witness a magical landscape—Mount Bromo smoking in the distance, surrounded by the sea of sands, Mount Batok, and the towering Mount Semeru. This moment is a favourite among photographers and adventurers.

🐎 Bromo Crater Exploration

After sunrise, continue the tour by driving across the Sea of Sand. You can either walk or rent a horse (optional) to reach the base of Mount Bromo’s crater. Then, climb the 250 stairs to the rim and witness the raw power of this active volcano.

After your Bromo adventure, return to the hotel for breakfast, a shower, and check-out.

🚗 Drive to Banyuwangi (Ijen Area)

We’ll then travel approximately 5–6 hours to Banyuwangi, the gateway to Ijen Crater. Along the way, enjoy beautiful views of rice fields, traditional villages, plantations, and coastal scenery. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant on the way.

Check into your hotel in Banyuwangi, located near Ijen Crater, and prepare for another early start tomorrow.

🔥 Day 3: Ijen Crater Tour – Transfer to Bali

Start your day early, around 5:00 AM. We will drive to Paltuding, the starting point of the hike to Ijen Crater. The journey passes through coffee and clove plantations, followed by a scenic drive through one of Java’s last remaining rainforests.

🥾 Trekking to the Crater

From the parking area, it takes 1 to 1.5 hours to reach the crater rim. The trail is surrounded by stunning natural scenery, cool mountain air, and the sounds of birds and nature. Upon reaching the top (2,385 meters above sea level), you’ll be amazed by the turquoise acidic crater lake, dramatic cliffs, and steaming sulfur vents.

You will also witness the incredible effort of local sulfur miners carrying 60–80 kg loads up and down the steep paths.

🔥 Optional: Blue Fire Experience

If you’re fit and ready for a midnight adventure, you can start the trek at 12:30 AM to witness the blue fire phenomenon, a rare natural occurrence only visible in a few places in the world. This is an unforgettable experience, but it’s weather-dependent and requires early departure.

🚢 Ferry to Bali

After the hike, we’ll return to the hotel, pack our belongings, and head to Ketapang Ferry Port. From there, take a short ferry ride to Gilimanuk Port in Bali. Upon arrival, we’ll drive you directly to your hotel in Bali.
