Day 1: Surabaya (Airport/Hotel) – Cemara Lawang (Mount Bromo Area)

The tour begins with a morning pick-up from Surabaya, either at Juanda International Airport or your hotel. From here, you’ll enjoy a scenic 4-hour drive to Cemara Lawang Village, the gateway to Mount Bromo.

Upon arrival, you’ll check in to your hotel with stunning views of Mount Bromo and the surrounding Tengger Caldera. After that, take time to rest and enjoy the cool highland air before the sunrise adventure begins the next day.

Day 2: Mount Bromo Sunrise Tour – Journey to Ijen Area

Your day starts early—around 3:00 AM—with a 4WD jeep ride to Penanjakan Viewpoint or King Kong Hill, one of the best places to watch the sunrise over Bromo. Meanwhile, Mount Semeru often releases small puffs of smoke in the background, adding drama to the already surreal landscape.

After sunrise, your jeep will cross the Sea of Sand, a vast volcanic plain that leads to the base of Mount Bromo. From there, you can either walk or ride a horse (optional) across the desert to reach the staircase leading to the crater rim.

Once at the top, take in the raw beauty of Mount Bromo’s active crater. Then, return to your hotel for breakfast, a refreshing shower, and check-out.

Next, we’ll drive to the Ijen area (either Bondowoso or Banyuwangi), a journey that takes around 4–5 hours. Along the way, enjoy scenic views of rice paddies, coffee plantations, and rural life. We’ll also stop for lunch at a local restaurant. If you have dietary restrictions, please inform us in advance.

Day 3: Ijen Crater Trek – Return to Surabaya

At 1:00 AM, our driver will pick you up for a transfer to Paltuding Base Camp, the starting point of the Mount Ijen hike. The drive takes about 50 minutes, passing through lush Arabica coffee plantations.

Once there, you’ll begin a 3-kilometre trek to the crater rim. The hike typically takes 1.5 to 2 hours, and you’ll reach an altitude of 2,386 meters above sea level.

Upon arrival, witness the magical blue fire, a phenomenon created by burning sulfuric gas—best seen in the dark before sunrise. As dawn breaks, you’ll also marvel at the dramatic turquoise lake, the largest highly acidic crater lake in the world.
